Dawn Comes recently mentioned the sad story of a physically handicapped child being discouraged from attending Sunday School for fear of it presenting a "false picture" to the other students. How contrary to Jesus' heart must that have been!!
It made me think about the Upper and Lower Schools for CS students. Can anyone tell me if there is any form of "Special Education" for students with physical, mental or behavioral needs which are "different from the norm" within these schools? How about at Prin? Are there wheel chair ramps?

| I am not aware of any special education classes in the CS schools but many private schools do not tailor their curriculums to that anyway. I remember a profoundly challenged child in my Sunday School when I was a child. He was placed in the appropriate age group class and everyone was very kind and understanding. As to your question regarding wheel chair ramps, certain facilities must comply with the ADA so any accomodations may be required by law. I find it a stretch to think that the majority of Christian Scientists would be so unkind as to refuse to accomodate wheelchairs or other special helps for the handicapped. They are a religion of healers so they would have to expect that those in need of healing wouldn't show up at the church steps in perfect condition! (Well, ok, they "THINK" they are in perfect condition but until it is "UNDERSTOOD"......ya know what I mean....I'm already getting twisted in the old "knowing the truth" thing!
