| Jim: You never lose the present-tense in AA. You must say that you ARE an alcoholic or an addict. One reason that I was never totally able to get AA and their message was because it was too similar to CS. AA believes that you can faith-heal alcoholism and many other addictive ailments. They also believe, wrongly, that once you go "out the side door", you won't have anyone to turn to. We all know of one place where they will always be welcome. Mark
