John 4:23, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
It tells you in the Bible you should worship the Father in spirit, and as such the Father seeks those who use their spirit. aka the Mind. Not the physical brain before you go off track. Nor did it mention the soul aka the heart, which technically you may as well call the subconconscious because in reality it is.
Mark 7:21-23, "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within and defile the man."
All evil on this Earth comes from the soul, the heart. Think of that before you pray to God with all your heart. It might explain why none of your prayers get answered.
Luke 16:15, "God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God."
Basically it might have something to do with the fact that God knows your soul, the heart and knows that all evil comes from it, hence why he finds it an abomination. Yet all of mankind, Christians, Muslims, Athesists, everybody worships the heart whether they know it or not. Key, it's the source of your thoughts, and we all know how people believe EVERYTHING that they think.
1 Corinthians 2:9, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath entered into the heart (soul) of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
Those who worship the heart, yet claim to worship the Father will not know the things of the Father, because his knowledge and his words do not enter into the very thing that he finds an abomination. Yes, the soul, the heart (not the heart of flesh btw) that soul which leaves the Spirit desolate (Lacking knowledge of the Father). All of humanity sets up the heart as the Holy thing.
James 5:5, "Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter."
You go after your own wants and desires, and blindly follow your hearts. The heart the cause of the minds (meaning spirit) activity, leading you all astray.
Mark 8:17, "Perceive ye not YET, neither understand? Have ye your hearts YET hardened?"
If Jesus can say this to his own disciples, and even call Peter "Satan" Just what makes you think you've got it? None here will understand what I have written, because your hearts have you. Yes, the soul, the heart is the Prince of this Earth. That is the Devil Jesus overcame in the wilderness. That is the devil you must overcome as written in Revelations.
Luke 24:38, "Why do thoughts arise in your hearts?"
That is the Soul's design, to lead you astray with it's thoughts of evil.
You may think you think good thoughts, but the Soul is also the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil, so it's not beyond "Earthly Good". But the soul, the heart is the flaming sword that turns every which way in front of the Tree of Life. In short blocking you from understanding that my words are truth.
Hebrews 3:10, "They do always err in their heart (soul); and they have not known my ways. They shall not enter into my rest."
Those who follow the ways of the soul, the heart will not enter into the Father's rest, simply becuase the soul doesn't allow a spirit any rest until you've overcome the soul. Jesus poured out his soul unto death, and became an Eternal spirit. So must you.
1 Corinthians 15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
So why do you continue to be in your current state and do nothing about it but bind yourself even tighter to the soul?
Hebrews 4:10, "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his (meaning soul's) own works, as God did from his.
Meaning fast from the soul's works, this world.
Genesis 8:21, "the imagination of man's heart (soul) is evil from his youth.
Even the imagination is from the soul, when you think evil, plot and scheme, that is the soul causing your spirit (mind) to do these things, hence why you must fast from it. But first you must know what it is, and then want to separate from it. Few of you will, since it has you fully.
Hebrews 4:12, "For the word (knowledge) of God (the Father) is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul (Heart) and spirit(Mind) and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Which are evil)."
Most of you will think that the soul and spirit are the same thing, yet in the Bible it tells you they're different. The Father finds the heart(soul) an abomination, so his word divides asunder(which means cast aside) the soul away from the spirit (which is what you are). The soul and spirit are so intertwined that they're like joints and marrow, it would take something sharp to split the two apart. Once they are split you will then fully know the intents and thoughts of your heart instead of being lead around by them. And as stated above they are evil continually.
Luke 21:19, "In patience "possess" ye your souls."
Yet your soul's possess you, blinding your minds.
Luke 21:34-35, "And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and the cares of this life; watch unless that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth."
The soul, the heart has ALL people in captivity, lost in the cares of this Earth. You feel happy one minute and sad the next, such is life, such is the way of the soul. There is no rest from it. Yet you worship it, unwittingly. Giving power unto the beast.
Genesis 6:5, "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
The heart and it's thoughts, and it's imagination nature cannot be change, it is evil, meaning it leads you the spirit away from the father, that's it's job. That is Satan.
Job 9:21, "Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my own soul: I would despise my life."
Job got it, few else have since outside of Jesus and the Prophets.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4, "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world(Soul, Heart, Beast, Devil, Satan) hath blinded the "minds" of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
You ask the Father to save your soul's, yet it is your mind's that are blinded by your souls. You worship the God of this world, but not the God of the other world.
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Not with all your heart as your peers tell you.
You must fast from your soul's work, and use you mind to pray, not with your feelings and emotions which are also of the soul(heart).
And as said here, you don't find the Father, the Father seeks you out.
Romans 12:2, "Be not conformed to this world(Soul): but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (Spirit)."
If you think visiting a Church and listening to another sinners word's is renewing your mind you are woefully mistaken. That is being conformed to this world, and putting you spirit even futher to sleep.
Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?
Very few can, hence why I'm telling you. Another term for it is Mystery Babylon the Great or the Great Whore, with her cup of abominations held aloft, just like how people hold their soul (heart) in high esteem.
Hebrews 3:10
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Yet all of you think think you are right in your heart. That's ok, that's how it works.
Proverbs 28:26
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Get it, got it? Nope. Surely you must wonder why something so obvious and quite simple has been hidden for so long.
Read your Bible again, and see that Soul, Heart, Beast, Abyss, Great whore, Prince of the Earth, Demons, False Prophet, Antichrist, etc, etc = the Devil, Satan. All the same thing.

I've read through your post a couple of times and struggling to understand its purpose or the point(s) you are attempting to make. As a means to help me understand your post, I also looked at some of the citations you provided including the context in which they appear.
Are you trying to offer a Christian Science, Christian, or other perspective? Are you admonishing someone? Some context for your remarks would help a lot.

Like Do Go, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. I will say, however, that Jesus didn't seem to think the soul was as bad as you say it is. I did a search on -- Jesus soul -- using biblegateway.com and came up with the references in this link. I'll be happy to discuss them more after I'm sure of where you're coming from.

| People who use alot of individual scriptures to try to create a basis for something scare me... Case in point- "Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand." Something that is difficult to understand does not automatically qualify it as a deep truth. People biased towards intellect are often drawn towards deep philosophies, but the essence of salvation in Christ is so simple a small child can understand it. I think God did it this way so none would have cause to "not understand" salvation for lack of intellect. True, Jesus spoke things many people failed to comprehend, but failing to understand is not the singular litmus test for deep truth. My dog digs holes all over my yard; I really don't understand why, so that must mean a life-changing truth is contained somewhere therein. zoarean

| Dear Anonymous, I have been going over what you have written. Are you responding to what people have written on this forum? Could you tell the forum what inspired you to write this?Are you angry at people? In your note you kept saying "you" and it seemed like a judgement. Who is this "you" that you mention ? Are you concerned about people because you think they are mislead or are you angry? How do you know what is in people's heart or soul? Just trying to understand. Hope you can give a reply to the forum.

| Dear Zorean, On a lighter note, I thought I'd mention if your dog is digging holes all over the yard, he is probably bored or nervous. This is especially true for the German Shepherd. These are extremely intelligent dogs who must learn and be trained because otherwise they become a behaviour problem. I miss my German Shepherd, his name was Truman, and he was very sweet to us , but he was afraid and aggressive towards other dogs and people and he also dug a lot of holes. I had to give him up, so sad. Well, I hope your dog finds something more creative to do with his time, or at least finds some buried treasure.
