Further messages posted by "A Scientist" will be deleted.

As forum co-moderator, I wrote to "A Scientist" explaining once again that his posts have been deleted due to his abuse of the terms and conditions of this forum, not for doctrinal censorship. Very few messages on these forums have ever been deleted or altered other than his. No message has ever been deleted due to censorship of CS doctrine.

I also asked him if he would like to consider the arrangements we offered to enable him to again post.

For those who are not aware of his history, "A Scientist" claims to be a Lutheran who is sympathetic to CS who has taught CS doctrine in his Lutheran church. He has also made outrageous, untrue, and unproven claims about these forums and our hosts.

I was posting recently, because I was allowed to post. I was not trying to be sneaky.

We made is VERY clear that you are not welcome here because of your long history of inappropriate behavior. Banning you has been a bit complicated since you post anonymously. Your ability to sneak some posts in (and I do mean sneak since you don’t sign them) does not mean that you were being “allowed to post.” It just means that our ability to ban you was not perfect.

Yes. That is because – as we made very clear – you are not welcome to post on these forums because of your long history of inappropriate behavior. It has nothing to do with your pro-CS stance or what you were posting.

Let me see if I got this straight - Mike Benjamin is whining, because I apologized but he wants a personal apology.

You did not apologize. You gave reasons for your actions, but this is different from taking responsibility for them and apologizing to those you unjustly attacked.

Mike Benjamin is NOT whining. He has not said a word about this. I am the one who asked you for an apology to Mike. You have tried to damage his reputation and his ministry. You need to retract the lies you told about this man and his ministry. That includes your continuing effort to discredit him in the post you made yesterday.

I don’t think it was as bad as the condescending tone Do Go Be used with that young Scientist who used to post all the time.

Do Go has been known to challenge people, but he does so with an attitude of respect. There is simply no comparison between his style and yours.

We would certainly not try to cut your ties to the Lutheran Church. You are the one who said that people like the CS-based logic that you share. Are you hiding the CS influence in your theology? (That is between you and your church.) I simply need to know who you are and to have you accountable to someone in your church because of your past behavior on the Christian Way forums.

You know the conditions under which you will be welcome here. You have a choice of whether or not to accept them. If you choose not to accept the conditions, then please leave the forums.

I guess I am extremely stupid, but thank you Linda for again proving my point. You tell me basically - What part of "Thou Shall Not" don't you understand, because I wrote a post trying to heal and comfort someone with a problem.

The point proven is that you don't get it. Your post was not deleted for its content. There are a lot of pro-CS postings on this site which actually represent CS well and in a positive perspective.

You have consistently failed to abide by the terms and conditions of this forum including slander, lies, and foul language. You asked for an opportunity to return and were provided a specific plan by which you could do so. You were instructed not to post until you accepted the plan and abided by its conditions. Those are the reasons your messages are deleted, has nothing to do with whether you are pro-CS.

The posts between tmcl and Surfer are irrelevant to your situation. For one thing, Surfer's message regarding tmcl was posted after your deleted message. Settle your own difficulties before you try to police others.

No amount of spin doctoring you may try will change your contributions which continue to violate your Christian/Lutheran/CS witness.

Does this remind you of the story about when the Pharisees accused Jesus of healing on a day that he wasn't suppose to - the Sabbath? What part of "Thou Shall Not" did He not understand?

You then allow Surfer to verbally attack tmcl. When I did this, I got banned, but it is okay for Surfer because she is going after a Scientist. If it is okay to go after heretics, then you must also back the Islamic terrorists because they are attacking what they believe are heretics too.

By the way surfer I agree with most of what tmcl writes as this is the CS I was taught too.

First let’s get some of the facts straight. I was posting recently, because I was allowed to post. I was not trying to be sneaky. Maybe you don’t know but previously when I went to post a message would come up saying they would not allow my post. As a result I can never post at work, but every month or so they would accept my post from my home. However, within hours sometimes minutes someone would delete my post. Since my posts were pro-CS I kept thinking that someone would override and allow them in order to show fairness, but it never happened. As I look back the people with the most grace were Scientists and most orthodox are very legalistic. They want justice for me and grace and mercy from God. Go figure.

Let me see if I got this straight - Mike Benjamin is whining, because I apologized but he wants a personal apology. I have met too many Pastors like Mike who are complete hypocrites. I realize now the main problem I have with your site is that people come with problems against their religion, God and/or parents. This is very common and as a Stephen’s Ministry, I was taught to listen and help the person through the problem. Main techniques are to ask why do you think you went through this, what have you learned and how can you help others with what you learned. If you read my posts before deleting them, I talked about encouraging people to go back to their CS Church and help correct any wrongs that they saw. This would include having a Bible class and without being critical look with an open heart passages that MBE wrote and together see if they are Biblical. If you are sincere that they are not Biblical let the people see for themselves without offering your opinion. I think both will learn, but more importantly you will heal.

The truth is that Mike knows this and has the training and the experience. Mike had ample opportunity to heal people of what they went through, instead he sat back without offering this as a way of closure. My conclusion is that he is either interested in the money or the fame he gets telling people he runs this web site. It is my opinion that Calvary Church makes money from this site and I do not consider this a bunch of lies that I spread. Yes I used sarcasm to someone and may have offended, but I don’t think it was as bad as the condescending tone Do Go Be used with that young Scientist who used to post all the time. Others were very disrespectful to other pro-Scientists. Who did I drive from the site? The only pro-Scientist I see coming back is tmcl. 2,000 years ago people put down Jesus for being a drunk. 100 years ago, people put down MBE for being a woman. Your examples of putting her down because God directed her and she only held the pen would have been praised as being modest if Billy Graham or another male writer said that. God knows that Twain did not respect her, but it is amazing that his daughters did. Let’s face it, if MBE was a man more people would be open to what she wrote. The people who write CS is a cult keep using the same guys who attacked her in a book in 1932. Oh by the way, for those who accuse me of not knowing my Bible, please get out a Concordance and look up wine bibber.

You have lied on this forum as recently as the past two weeks and have also posted without permission even after asking to be welcomed back, so I hope you can understand why I have trouble trusting your motives. Hi Folks,

You may have noticed that a number of recent messages have quickly disappeared. Don't worry -- neither your computer nor the forum software is malfunctioning. The missing messages represent the most recent antics of our resident "troll."

Some of you will remember this man as an anonymous participant who used to sign his posts "A Scientist." He first began posting messages on the forum about a year ago, claiming to currently attend a mainstream Christian church though he vigorously defended his perspective of Christian Science. We initially welcomed his comments on the forum as they resulted in a lot of good discussion.

Eventually, however, it became obvious that his knowledge of Christian Science was weak and not based on actual experience. His Christian witness has also been somewhat lacking. Apparently frustrated, “A Scientist” stopped signing his posts and began assaulting this forum, Calvary Church (our web host), and other forum participants. Over the past several months he has posted messages . . .

. . . insulting other participants and making hurtful comments about people coming to the forum for help.

. . . impersonating other participants, making them appear to say things they would never say.

. . . falsely and libelously accusing Calvary Church of using this forum as a money-making scheme.

. . . attempting to violate the privacy of other participants such as repeatedly misidentifying one regular participant as an Associate Pastor of Calvary Church.

. . . posing as a member of Calvary Church while claiming to have led fund raising efforts using this forum and making comments sympathetic to a white-supremacist group.

His most recent antics involve pretending that a "minister at this site" is attempting to sexually molest him.

Though the identities of other anonymous posters are protected, "A Scientist" has unintentionally left clues that have allowed us to link these malicious posts to him.

Thanks for your patience with the deleted posts.

Over the two and a half years since I made the above post, A Scientist has continued to visit the forum on a semi-regular basis while never signing “A Scientist” to his posts. It quickly became apparent that, even if his initial post or two were civil, his subsequent posts would become insulting and otherwise inappropriate. For that reason I adopted a “zero tolerance” policy, deleting his posts whenever I could identify them.

I was raised 3rd generation in Science and when I became a teenage boy, I wondered why be a goody-goody while my friends were out having a good time. I strayed and now thanks to this site and marrying a Fundamentalist I know more about CS than I ever did growing up mainly by just reading MBE’s works as an adult.

Over the years, I started a couple of Ministries with the blessing of my Lutheran Church that I humbly say I have brought more seculars to Jesus and more Christians to Christ than any lay person I know. I started to incorporate many of MBE’s teachings into my talks as I find most men left it for a variety of reasons, but they like hearing a CS logical answer to the teachings of Jesus.

I was hoping to Minister to exes who twisted MBE’s writings or were taught a twisted version. Thankfully I never experienced these problems and never encountered them with any relative or friend at the CS Church. Growing up I had many childhood friends pass away, but not one was related or connected to CS. As a Stephen’s Minister, I have encountered many people who have issues with their parents over this and that and I can certainly understand the anger of those at this site who went through an apparent twisted interpretation. My story however is simple: My mother and father were both prayer warriors and not much bad happened to our family. When it did, we prayed and at times sought alternative (medical help).

My challenge was for anyone to post anything not Biblical in the S&H. For over a year I spent time answering 2-3 Bible passages a week showing when the Bible is metaphorical and when literal. I responded to all requests and I believe I proved my point that CS is Biblical.

After reading several cruel postings at this site, I pointed them out to the “leaders” of this site and when they allowed them, I wrote a nasty post. This began a barrage of people writing that I was a nasty person. I pointed out the nasty posts written about exes (several aimed at a teenage CS). Others were more cruel stating things like all Scientists won’t go to Heaven. My father, the best Christian I knew, had recently passed away and yes I did go berserk and continued posting nasty things and I was wrong.

I have encouraged some of my relatives to go to this site and challenge some of the posts. Some have, but most do not because they feel Matt 7:6, so they prefer to pray about it. I see that tmcl is slowly gaining ground and doing it with Christian love.

If you welcome me back, I will be happy to give my two cents to reply to any question on whether CS is Biblical. My goal would be to get some exes to examine what they went through and figure out that it may be great healing to go back to the CS Church and correct any twisted versions.

The CS/Christian/Lutheran witness of "A Scientist" is extraordinary. His abuse of this forum and its contributors, his misrepresentations, and his continued attempts to disrupt certainly do not represent Christian Science, Christianity, or the Lutheran Church in which he once claimed to teach CS-inspired doctrine.

As moderator of this forum, Linda is the governing authority* responsible for maintaining it. Were "A Scientist" what he claims to be, a Christian with a predisposition towards CS, he would subject himself to the governing authority and discontinue his resistence.

Should he wish to dispute or discuss my comments, I welcome him to contact me at do-go-be-man@nc.rr.com.

In the meantime, I thank Linda for her efforts to maintain civility and the published standards of this forum. I also appreciate the contributions of true Christian Scientists such as TMCL who continue to gracefully post according to their consciences.

As I said above, I will not hesitate to delete posts that are disruptive to the forum. You may have noticed that I have deleted a few posts lately. I believe that these messages were written by the person who used to sign his posts "A Scientist," and who began attacking and disrupting the forums on a regular basis when he could not win people his to his opinions.

A recent message, which I belive came from A Scientist, stated the following: "about a month ago I paraphrased something from MBE in a reply. My reply was wiped out and I got a message forbidding me to post again for a month." This is clearly a lie because I never forbid someone from posting "for a month." A Scientist has repeatedly lied and slandered people on this forum in the past, and I think that it is best to delete his posts whenever he makes them -- even if a particular message seems tame. Experience has shown that A Scientist quickly becomes disruptive if allowed to continue posting.

Dealing with people like A Scientist is the price we pay for allowing people to post anonymously. I appreciate those of you who are civil and honest, and I ask for your patience as I try to protect the forums from people like A Scientist.

Anonymous posting has been enabled again. Hopefully the four month break has gotten rid of some of the spam and other problems we were having.

If you post anonymously:

1- Please sign some sort of nickname at the bottom of your post so that people can keep track of which anonymous poster you are. This will minimize the confusion created by having multiple people named "anonymous."

2 - You will not be able to edit your comments once they have been posted (people who register can edit their messages).

3- I will not hesitate to delete anonymous posts that I feel are disruptive to the forum.
