So your master is nice, huh?

To whom are you addressing your question? It doesn't seem to make sense in relation to Do Go Be Man's post, so are you addressing someone else?

Linda,

These latest ad hominem attacks (including those we chose not to approve) are like a really bad summer rerun. May we just say "ditto" to the earlier defense of the Bible and our chosen life style? The attack of person and character rather than content seems to be the only argument offered opposing the Biblical perspective on this topic and so many others. It seems that "choice" only goes so far in certain circles.

Admittedly, my comment could also be considered ad hominem. David Niven was so much classier than I can ever imagine myself. Such comments remind me of his response as host to a streaker at the Academy Awards:

"Isn't it fascinating to think, that probably the only laugh that man will ever get in his life, is by stripping off and showing his shortcomings?"

Just a thought directed to the moderators and those who think likewise and truly believe in Jesus Christ as the world's only means of salvation:

It may be helpful to read and meditation on Phil. 3 through 4:1 (actually, through portions of all of 4 as well, too). At least for me, these chapters really helped settle my heart regarding comments such as these. No looking down upon the writer, but upon the underlying source behind such comments.

The motives of Christian Way are pure and because they are so, they will be attacked from time to time. We can rejoice in those attacks because it means that the spirit of the site is on the right track, in my opinion.

Thanks again for being a rock!

Grace

My name is Jeff born again Christian came to know Christ trough repenting of my sins and putting my faith and trust in the Lord who took the punishment on my behalf. Ever since I became Christian which is about 1 year n half ago God has made me strong and increased my faith and wisdom many people are surprised and shocked because I'm just 21 years old and have grown so quickly In the Lord and given the privledege of leadership at the church. An let me give you what the Lord has giving me at church. I as a believer must submit myself to God above all and seek his counsel at all times in whatever I do. Especially in the area with my future to be wife. What God has given me is somethin I charish so much because because it reflects what's in me and my girl friend knows it and sees it. I am to love her and treat her as if she was myself. Meaning I want to be saved and I want to be with the Lord and I also desire the same for my girlfriend
if I am to love my salvation then I out to love my girlfriends salvation as well . If I truly show that my intentions are not to boss her around but love her she would gladly take me as her leader in the household. If I understand what that responsibility is my wife should submit to what I think is best for our family that also does not mean I would consider her counsel as my wife but final decision should be made by me since I am to take the lead not because of my own will but because God has spoken and declare it and I must submit to his will and his decisions. My advice to you men out their is to truly submit to God in fasting and prayer and seek his counsel in this area because your a leader and is God's will to be so. Seek his counsel and you will surely find the answer , God will reveal to you man what your purpose is in your marriage and what you must do to lead your loved ones . Listen everthing is changing around us and it makes it a lil difficult to see at times with all the darkness but remember God is light and if you seek him with all your heart you shall find answers and be able to clearly see the path which is is Christ. Women pray for your husband , seek God and ask him to put in your husband the desire to be the man he has been called to be pray for him everyday and watch as the Lord begins to work and change things . But please don't be wise I'm your own understanding your to submit to your husband just like you submit to the Lord its God will and God will bless you and protect you for your obedience to hid word you do this out of Love for the Lord. Everything one day will make sense when the Lord returns which is soon ! And let him find you man and women putting his word in practice and obedience

There is a mutual understanding between every husband and wife.So if a husband plays a vital role for his wife and family same vital role his wife also plays for him and family.Husband and wife both are of equal worth before God.When there are proper feelings in both parties in a relation there will be no reason either to command or to obey. There should be such mutual love and confidence, that the known "wish" of the husband should be a law to the wife: and that the known desires of the wife should be the rule which he would approve. If there is such relation between a couple then there is no issue of whether women should submit to their husband or not.

While generally interesting when seriously addressed, this topic has attracted more than its share of ad hominem attacks and other abuses. We were not able to approve all responses. As it is not directly related to the general scope of discussions regarding Christian Science, Linda and I agreed to lock it from further discussion.
