My mom encouraged me to share a little more about Granna passing.  I just want to say that we believe from the bottom of our hearts that God answered our every prayer.  Mom's cousin prayed that evening that Jesus would reveal Himself to Granna and that Mom would be there to see it.  Most of us were all praying the same thing.  Granna had a wonderful day.  She fixed her hair and did her makeup.  She spent some time in the wheelchair enjoying the glorious weather we have had.  My uncle was in from Austin and my other uncle was there as well.  The kids and I went over after my son's baseball game.  He just HAD to tell her that he hit a homerun.  She was surrounded by her loved ones the entire day.  At around 12:54 a.m. she called mom on the cell phone and said that she needed her help.  Mom went in there and took care of her requests.  She said that she thought her chest hurt some.  Then she turned her head, saw something in the room, reached her hand out and said, "help me, help me."  Then she was gone.  I will believe until my last breath that Jesus was there with her.  That she was reaching for Him in her last moments.  Heather and I arrived shortly after and you could feel the Holy Spirit all over that room.  The kids and I stopped by last night to check on mom and dad.  They wanted to go into the room, so we did.  My oldest daughter immediately said, "Wow!  Can you feel that?  The Holy Spirit.  You can still feel it."  She never had to have a single pain pill.  I have such peace and gratitude right now.  We could not have asked the Lord to have done more.  It has been a huge blessing.  Thank you, Father, from the bottom of my heart.
BTW these IF codes give me fits!  I always have to do it twice which is the reason my posts also have code in them.

Well, friends, it has been a long time.  I knew this post was here because Renee told me she had asked for prayer from you all.  It has been two years since mother died and I'm just now able to come here and read all your posts.

Thank you for your prayers.  They were certainly answered.  If you don't mind I'd like to add some details to Renee's story.  A few days before mother died she realized that she was not only not getting better but that she was getting worse and becoming very weak.  She was very distressed and told me, "I just can't lose faith in my religion, not now, not after all these years!"  (My great-grandmother "found" CS when my mother was 12.  Even with doctors in the family, my great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother all became CS.  Mother was 85 when she died and hadn't really known any other religion.)  I told my mother, "No, mother, you will NOT lose your faith in God."  She never doubted her faith again.

When she reached out her hand that night and asked for help she had turned her head from me and looked up to the right corner of the ceiling and reached her hand out to the right (I was on her left).  I really had the feeling that she WAS turning from this world and looking to the next one.  Does that sound familiar, or what?  I am here to tell you that her body may have been breathing, but her soul was already with the Lord.  Her eyes were completely blank and she was unresponsive.  One of the greatest gifts I have ever received was to see my mother reach out to the Lord.  I know she is with Him and we will be together again.

Thank you again for your prayers,

Blessings,

Susan
