I enjoyed your story very much. This is my first time on the site. I am seeing where my post gets recorded.
I also am haunted by fear that if I think the wrong thoughts mortal mind and animal magnetism will get me. Worrying that I worried is like ants eating my brain.
I found a solution: Jesus died on the cross to remove everything that comes from hell. It was final. I put my fears on the cross and know it's been taken care of at a moment in time, which has infinite access.
I was raised being taught in CS that God didn't really need at time and place (the cross) to prove what He always was. However trying to dwell in the absolute realm is impossible to sustain. Human kind needs time and place events where heaven conquers the powers of hell. And so it is important that Jesus died on the cross so that things of heaven actually embrace our experiences here on earth.
Trying to experience only heaven is Gnosticism. Jesus connects heaven with earth.
And so when fear grips me, I remember the cross and remember that I was baptized with water. And I can tell thoughts of fear to leave me alone. My real human experience has been taken care of by God.
