On the Christian Way website its says that it is the practice of the CS church to use the King James Version.
I've heard the Mother Church has decided to use other bible translations for its bible lessons.
Will you be changing this information on your website?

| Thanks for the links. We'll look into the matter and see if changes need to be made on our web site. In the first article you list, it is pointed out that using other translations will "only be done occasionally in the Golden Text and Responsive Reading. The main text of the Lesson will still use the King James Version." The article points out that Mrs. Eddy occasionally used translations other than the KJV.

Yes, the lesson entitled "Mortals and Immortals" uses the New International Reader Version for the Golden Text and the New International Version for the Responsive Reading.
I also found this email on a CS blog but I don't know if it's authentic.

I wonder if MBE would approve of the "gender-neutral" nature of the TNIV. I suppose that the author of "Father-Mother God" would approve of eliminating genders. Most translations, however, make it appear that God's word approves and encourages "vive la difference". Would she also accept the NIV, TNIV, NIRV, NLT, or CEV translations of Genesis 2:6?
Though I have serious issues with the translation philosophy of the TNIV, I am glad to see TMC acknowledging and encouraging other versions. There's much to be learned from understanding the literal word.

I found this website which may be the precursor of (or the researcher behind) the Mother Church now introducing different bible translations into the Quarterly Bible Lesson.

This website creator, Robert Cramer, even predicted the introduction of the different bible translations:
In future months or years, we should not be surprised if we are attending The Mother Church services and hear Bible verses read from a version other than the KJV. Nor should we be surprised if we are attending a branch church service and hear Bible verses read in English from a version other than the KJV, or read in non-English-language services from a version other than the version available from The Christian Science Publishing Society in any particular language. Cramer gives a link for what he considers "reliable" bible translations which include the bibles Do Go Be Man cites, but does not talk about the gender-neutral issue.
