| I have noticed several similarities between Anna Lee who was leader of the Shakers and MBE. MBE was born very close to Anna Lee's home (although not the same time period), Anna Lee's followers thought she was the woman in revelation http://books.google.com/books?id=ic5MAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA516&lpg=PA516&dq=%22Anna+Lee%22+shakers&source=web&ots=D3wBxvWsu4&sig=sjB7Qu0z1q1_inv4pcltvST5l8E&hl=en, Anna Lee's followers called her "mother" (a practice MBE later discouraged), Anna Lee referred to God as "Father-Mother", and the story about MBE's mom feeling the quickening in the womb with her (like in the Bible) also happened to Anna Lee's mother. So many similarities to ponder along with the Quimby Manuscripts....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

| Correction of my earlier post: I think some of those items relate to the Seventh Day Adventist leader. Anna Lee was born in England but did agressively recruit in Massachusetts. They did call Anna Lee "Mother Ann" and thought she was the woman in Revelation. I can't remember which of the items related to the Seventh Day Adventists specifically.

| Ann Lee's Shakers referred to God as Father Mother before Mary Baker Eddy. http://www.believersweb.net/view.cfm?ID=632
