| Hooray! Just happened to stumble upon this site and just had to register. I was brought up in CS and my parents are still in it to this day. I'm a 50 year old male that was saved at 20 by faith in Jesus Christ as my only way out of hell for which i was heading. I've read a few posts and noticed the similarity to my parents views. When I'm able to recollect some stories I'll post them here. Glad I'm not the only one with CS baggage although not to much....just concerned now for my parents salvation and their resistance to the truth-Jesus Christ died for their sins. One quick story....I remember reading or hearing as a kid "there is no sin" or something to that affect which deceived me into thinking I could do whatever I wanted. Boy, was I wrong !! Also had to memorize Statement of being which I still to this day remember the first part. Luckily 95% of CS has long such faded from memory. Like to know there are others in the same boat....hey I didn't sign up for CS...I was brought up into it. What's your excuse?

Inzane99,
Welcome. You and I are about the same age with the similarity of family still in CS. It took me into my 30s, however, before I saw the light and I had stayed in as an adult by choice. Hope you enjoy browsing through our forums and contributing to them.

| Welcome Inzane99. I look forward to reading about your "recollections". Are your parents understanding of your rejection of Christian Science?

| WOW! Quick replies...I love it. Thank-you for welcoming me. In answer to your one question-NO- my parents have not been supportive in my rejection of CS for many years. As a matter of fact they are in downright denial and in spiritual opposition to everyone whose belief system is not grounded in CS. I've learned to live with it over the years. I've tried on a few occasions to witness to them, but my mother almost became hostile and indignant. So after a few episodes that ended like this I gave up. Some people will reject His word....our parents ...our children(well my kids do know Jesus Christ as their only hope). I grew up in a small community in a small CS church. Growing up I was always wishing I was Catholic or Methodist or something so I could just fit in. There were an extremely low number of CS people here. Hey, I just remebered something...how everyone referred to themselves as Scientists...like "he's a scientist or they are scientists". How funny is that? As a little kid I thought of life as one big science experiment and I was the one wearing the white lab coat. just a little jocularity here. Until next time...love you guys. Inzane99
