Hi Anonymous:

Getting back on topic, I would like your thoughts to what I wrote:

Hi Anonymous:

MBE wrote to follow her writings as long as she follows Christ. I think for the most part she followed Him. Please note my Capitalizing Him and not she. Yes MBE had flaws and I think most of it came out when she was attacked for her writings where I think if she was a man, there would have been a marked distinction. I think that she made CS a religion just because the orthodox Protestant religions attacked her and wouldn't let her be a part of their movement. As a result I think she hyped herself up to promote the religion and this was a mistake.

I don't think that one fully understands her writings unless they really are a Bible scholar. S&H is written to believers and not to people who don't know the Bible or are not Christian. I believe the reason most 3rd or 4th generation Scientists fall off is because they are not given a good Bible background.

For example there is sin for those in the world, but the Bible says that though we are in the world we are not of the world. If you understand this, then you understand that as a follower of Christ that we should not sin, because not only is this a command, but because we understand that sin has no Substance. However, to tell a child in Sunday School that there is no sin is I think idiotic. Mission number one is to make sure the CS Sunday School is 99% about learning the Bible. I was somewhat fortunate in that my father ran my Sunday School and I think he did a good job, but this is a complaint I have heard from others.
