Hello I would like to thank every one for Reading my Post

to help each other to win the race. Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus,Col 1:28:.

Why did Jesus Die for us?

he Died for us to give us a Chance for salvation unto repentance, Christ did not die so we can Remain in our Sins, if we continue in sin There is no Repentaces there for no Fruits ment for repentance Matthew 3:8. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.Acts 17:30

When Jesus Healed People, He told them go and Sin no more,Jn 5:14

And When Jesus Forgave sin, He said,Go and Sin no more.Jn 8:11

Jesus did not tell them you can sin, but confess daily.

Jesus told them go and Sin no more.Jn 5:14 Jn 8:11

We know For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

For this Cause Because all Has Sinned, If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.1 John 1:10

QUOTE
I'm Sure some one will ask me,
Do you believe that we are saved by Grace thru Faith alone? Yes or No.

This is my answer For by grace are ye saved through faith

With out faith how can you Believe?

this is our Work, we Believe that Jesus is and the Rest will follow

so faith without works is dead James 2:26

Let me Explain

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8-9

Now, Jesus Died for Me You and the Whole World, There is No Work we can do, we cannot Forgive our Own Sins,

We Come To Jesus By Faith.

We Believe that Jesus is the SON of GOD,

and Repent of all of our Sinful Works of the Flesh, That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:24

And by this, We Come to Jesus By Faith, And We Repent and Sin no more John 8:11 and by this we are Forgiven and we are Under Grace

(by grace ye are saved Eph 2:5

But when you Remain in Your Sins, you are NOT under Grace, you are Still In your Sins, As it is Written Grace and Sin Does not Abound Ro 6:1

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 1 Peter 2:1

When we Come to the knowledge of Sin...We Awake to Righteousness and we Stop sinning

as it is Written

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: .
1 Cor 15:34

So Jesus said you are the Servant of whom you Serve, Rather you serve Righteousness or Sin,

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. John 8:34

and you know that if you are Righteous as God is Righteous you Cannot Sin
Whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.1 John 3:10

you cannot Serve God and maman you cannot eat at the Lords table and the Table of Devils shall we provoke God to anger are we stronger than him?

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8

Don't you know that as long as we have Sin in us that God cannot live in us?

that Sin separates Man from God, God is Clean Pure and Perfect, God will not Dwell in a unclean Temple, 1 Corinthians 6:19

The Word of Gods says, that we may be Blameless and harmless the sons of God without Rebuke? Phil 2:15

if we have Sin dwelling in us we will Be Rebuked and not Blameless, but unchanged and Unrepented . James 1:23-24

This is Why the Bible says Repentance Worketh Twards Salvation 2 Corinthians 7:10

Elijah_101,

Welcome to the Christian Way forums and taking time to contribute.

It would be helpful if you would introduce yourself including your connection to Christian Science. Are you a former Christian Scientist? From your post, it doesn't sound like you are currently a Christian Scientist. Do you have friends or loved ones in Christian Science?

Thanks,

Do Go Be Man

These Bible verses are all excellent teaching and conversion tools, of course. The thing I have to share with you and any Evangelicals who might read this, is that the group you would reach needs first to have the ears to hear you with.
O.K. that's cryptic. As long as they have absolute faith in everything MBE teaches, they can't take anyone else's interpretations seriously - even if you're backed by the entire Christian Church!
So do you see what has to happen first?
People could tell me all they wanted, and I sincerely wished it could be that simple. However, until my understanding of the Absolute Truth of Christian Science was successfully punctured, I could not hear anyone else's teachings. Does that make some sense? It's like being trapped in a balloon, and being told that the fresh spring air smells wonderful. You have no idea what they're talking about. It isn't getting through.
So what finally got through to me? it was a succession of things. It started with Josh McDowell's "More than a Carpenter" -traded with a friend in agreement that she'd read Science and Health (or try to) and I'd read this little book.
Then as I realized who Jesus really was, I began to figure out how wrong CS was. It started with Jesus. He's much more than Wayshower - he's Savior, and all that God prophesied he'd be.
That wasn't enough, though it set the stage. Second point revolved around the book of Habakkuk. It's about God being of too pure eyes to behold evil. All that pillar of CS is built on a quote from Habakkuk, and it's out of context, being interpreted OPPOSITE the way the prophet intended! You'd have to read it to see it. THere are others but those are the 2 main ones that got my attention. From then On, I could read NIV, and other translations, and really let the Bible speak for itself. It's important to get CS people to read other translations. Get the original aramaic & greek if possible. Clearest interpretations possible.
So that's about it...

The cleanest translation of the New Testament that I have found is one called the Hebrew Translation put out by messianic Jews. My copy was given to me in 1995 by a Jew who had accepted Jesus. I felt like I was home for the first time in my Bible reading life. After all, our Jesus really was a Jew of the Jewish tradition and culture and he did use Hebrew words and expressions which are more clearly translated into English than other translations from Greek or Aramaic.

That sounds like a a good one. Who publishes it? Where would a person have to go to get one?
