Hi everyone!

This is the url for a video on YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLCSvMuhETs

I watched this video for 5 minutes and sat in absolute bewilderment that any human being could understand what in the world he was talking about. It was totally serious but totally insane. I laughed so hard my orange juice came out my nose! It is absolutely hysterically funny to me because I remember all the years in CS that I heard this kind of stuff, and man how comical it all sounds now. It's like watching d demented professor. I can't believe this guy is serious, poor guy. He looks like such a loveable man, but crazy all the same. It must be a parody. It is just toooooo extreme. I don't know if the MC approves this kind of stuff, because it sure does make the CS church look like a bunch of nuts. Somewhere behind the scene this precious guy must be joking. Notice too that the "comments" are all disabled.

Please everyone, check this youTube CS video out and comment, I need the validation, the camaraderie! It is so lonely laughing all by my little ol self. Then I begin to feel like I am crazy too.

And I will thank you with 300 hugs! (and an aspirin or two if you ever should need one. lol)

what the heck???
you're right,he has taken a trip to crazy town with no return ticket!
I don't think it's TMC approved though.Maybe one of the many whacky off- shoots of CS.
On the other hand,it's ALL nuts.

In looking at this guy, I could not help recalling the videos of Heaven's Gate leader, Marshall Applewhite. Thus, my reluctance to leave the initial post in the jokes section.

I think I'm on reasonably safe ground in providing assurance that this guy has no connection with TMC. He identifies himself as "the Master Teacher of A Course In Miracles" and refers to Mary Baker Eddy as "Mary Baker".

Bizarre!
He also has other videos including Breakfast with Mary Baker Eddie (yes, he misspells it!). Also, it's certainly not church authorized, or it would say Church of Christ, Scientist, not Church of Christian Science.

But is he just flipping nuts, or is it a parody? Can't tell! It does seem like it has to be a parody, but A Course In Miracles is at least superficially kind of like CS, isn't it?

It sure looks like he's spoofing CS and it's lecturers... yes. My funnybone is a little rusty, but that's probably because I've taken care of some elderly whose minds have slipped their transmissions like that. I wonder if it's the guy's actual condition.
My husband is convinced that such is the fate of many who persist in CS through to those years. I try to tell him, no, it's just the ones he's met, but that only makes him giggle harder.

I'm really hoping that the date on which we became aware of this is relevant. Seems, however, fairly elaborate to be a hoax or parody. If it is, we are seeing genius at work.

I sincerely doubt it is a hoax. I have known too many Christian Scientists like this. This is actually very sad to me. I have seen what happens when a little dementia gets mixed up with Christian Science.

I sincerely thank all of you guys and gals for following up on my video suggestion and for posting all of your comments. It helps my insanity or sanity however one chooses to look at me and my condition. You all win the hugs and the asprin, just ask!

The vid opens a lot of thought in many directions, doesn't it?

After I posted it I watched a few others that the man had posted...... all just 3 weeks ago (so that takes it out of the catagory of an April Fools joke, although you might have said that I posted it for that purpose.....

And yes he is a product of "A Course in Miracles" which was all the rage with a few people I knew in the 1980's... time enough now for all of them to be a bit batty like him. I am so sorry to ridicule other people's religions, it isn't nice and it offends the followers, but golly gee, anything that sounds so much like CS is just asking for laughter; and "A course in Miracles" seemed so much like CS including the denial and the strange vocabulary and sentence structure. It also attracted the same kind of people: very sincere, gentle people (passive aggressive???) searchers, seekers, confused and very conscientious in all kinds of strange directions.

Anyway the guy on this video looks so precious, so dear. Could be my daddy or grand daddy or uncle. It is sad. Very sad. But methinks sadness is enough already. A little parody brings a smile to my face. My CS Grandmamma used to say, "Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone." I think a little of her advice is in order in order for me to heal!

PS. can you imagine he had breakfast with Mrs Eddy?! Why, I ask? What did they eat? Crow? OR IMAGINARY toast and sausage? (And by the way. There is a very fab artist named Mary Baker on the internet, one of my favorite designers/painters/promoters, but it is so hard for me to like her and all because of her unfortunate accident of name.)

anyway, thanks for responding to the vid, I hope this understanding and humor we've got going here grows into Biblical proportions. LOL but not when you're drinking orange juice!

I finally had time to watch the video. He does seem like a sweet man, but WOW. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. So sad, but VERY funny if you actually try to follow the logic.

I just had a chance to watch this too.

This was really interesting to me.

First, it reminded me of my in-laws when they talked about their religon (CS) because they looked so kind and loving and they really believed what they were saying but so much of it didnt make sense to me, didnt seem to meld with reality or logic. Exactly like this old guy talking about being physically perfect and how we all can do that and all I can see is the glasses he is clutching as he talks.   He wants us to believe he has been healed from death yet he can't fix his farsightedness?

The man does certainly seem sweet and sincere but I dont think he has anything to do with Christian Science. Mary Baker?  No one calls her that. He used too many phrases that were NOT from CS and none that were. Any man that age who has been praying and studyng CS daily would still have the pat phrases, even if his mind was going.

I tend to not believe stuff like this.  I noticed, for instance, he couldnt seem to keep on track with what he was saying, yet he knew exactly how and when to look from one camera to the next, on queue.  Looks to me like he is either a professional comedian or some super smart old guy looking to make some big money selling this silly stuff so he can laugh all the way to the bank.

Thanks for posting this.
