Actually I am. They went to school today and will tommrow. They do not seek medical care and will not be kept out of school. I am so glad this country reconizes our religion and that we have the freedom to practice it. Guidelines for what? My children are perfectly fine. thx for your concern.

You said your children had 104.5 fevers, yet where fine in the morning, the guidlines form the CDC say they should be keep home from school untill free from fever for 24 hours, yet you sent them anyway. Sounds like you arent clear on your schools policies, maybe you could call them to clarify.

At what age do you think your childrens fevers will be their faults instead of yours?

Jill in MI brings up a very, very good point. Proud sent her children to school while still ill (my child's school has same policy as CDC, imagine that, 24 hours without fever). I sure hope we don't have children in the same school.

Will be interesting to hear Proud's replies to Jill's latest questions.

I did not do anything bad you say that as if you think it is a punishment, It is a material thing thats all. The human body does all kinds of crazy stuff but it in no way affects your spirit the can not interact. it is a mortal issue and I just rise above it in spirit. fevers are nobodies fault is is just what happens to material things it is temporal. Wow you really took a different approach to C.S than I did. Sickness is just caused from material influencecs on a mortal body.

The CDC has no say over my childern. What a blessing being a member is. CDC also states children have to be immunized except in cases like mine. I am very clear on their policies but I base my actions on immortal man not on what a group of politicians came up with. I listen to a much higher power. You should clarify the schools right to violate court order based on religion. they can not say or enforce anything.

The CDC is not telling you how to treat your childrens fevers, just NOT to send them to school. Have you talked to your Committe on publications (is that what it is called?, i cant remember). they would advise you to follow CDC and not send your children to school.

CS and proud, I hope i am not coming off judgemental, I am sincerly glad you are here and welcome your posts. I am just asking some honest questions.

Here is a quote take from the official Christian Science website.

"This does not belittle the unselfish care not to expose others to some illness that one may be experiencing."
