children's health.org just announced that the prayer-fee mandate(being re-embursed for CS treatment) that the church has been lobbying for in the new health care bill WILL NOT be included in the final bill!!!
what a victory and proof that the church's COP is not all-powerful.
yay!

Let's be careful and pay careful attention to the final bill as it (ugh!) works its way to probable passage.
Politics, like eels, is very slippery indeed. What goes in to a committee or a reading is not necessarily what comes out as last minute deals and trades are made.
Remember Bismark's observation: "The public should never know what we put in their laws or sausages."

I couldn't find it on childrenshealthcare.org. Where? I would LOVE to see it! Like mentioned in the other post, the final bill is what counts. However, step in right direction. Looks like the CS power is becoming quite paltry, like the membership numbers.
By the way, saw a lot of posts after articles regarding Orrin Hatch, et al's 11th hr add. Most people are so against this CS slanted provision. No surprise.
