Lucypaints,
Welcome.
Like Linda, may I also mention a couple of things about your post? I too left Christian Science when my study could no longer resolve the differences between the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy and what I found in the Bible. My perspective was that Bible formed the foundation of Christian Science, however, Christian Science taught that foundation was flawed. As I slowly accepted the Bible in its entirety as God's word, things began to fall in place that revealed the flaws of Christian Science and the perfection of God's word.
Medicine is an obvious differentiator between Christian Scientists and others. As such, it attracts a lot of attention. I think the amount of discussion devoted to medicine on these forums is disproportionate to its importance yet it's a topic about which people have a lot of questions and have a lot to say.
