Any one who asserts that Mrs. Eddy's doctrinal platform is less than Christian reads very little of her works or just parrots what other less informed individuals are peddling in order to reign in "those who have gone astray" as they like to put it.

You are incorrect. Some of our participants spent decades in CS, some went through class instruction, attended Principia College, worked closely with higher-ups at The Mother Church, etc.

If you would like to argue doctrine, let's take it to the "Doctrinal Issues..." category.

Your description of Christian churches is also not what I have experienced. Again, if you'd like to discuss this, let's take it to the Doctrinal category.

It appears that a lot of people here have a perverted (either intentionally, unintentionally or out of sheer ignorance or malice of the writings and intentions of Mary Baker Eddy and what she worked to established.

The writings of Mary Baker Eddy elucidate and bring the pages of the bible and unlock the secrets of its pages which old theology failed to do and still does.

You would have us believe that you know Eddy's intentions better thanthose of us who have left Cs. One reason I left was precisly because of her intentions. when I finally read both her authorized and non authorized life stories It became even more clear to me that her 'intention' in most all of what she di and wrote was to make a buck from re-wording Quimby's ideas and re-wording scripture. She sold for profit everything she did or said. From teaching how to heal in her 'college' to charging for prayerful treatment. From charging for her so called divinely inspired 'key to the scriptures' to sueing the city when she fell on their sidewalk.
I do feel she had other intentions. Sometimes she intended to bolster her self image and her public image by claiming to be spoken of in the Bible.

Old theology, as you put it, attempted to elucidate the pages of the bible just as her newer theology attempted to elucidate them. She was no more succesful than anyone else. But she did make a pile of money and get those servants to wait on her hand and foot.
Jesus did a pretty thorough job of elucidating what needs to be elucidated. He said the Spirit would remind us of all the HE said. So, we have Jesus' words recorded and we have the Spirit to do what Jesus said it would do. Where does Eddy fit in to this plan? Of course you can 'Parrot' what Eddy claimed and try to convince the world that Eddy ushered in the Holy Spitit or that she 'revealed' the Holy Spirit or Comforter. Or you can try to say Eddy is spoken of in the bible when Jesus stated that 'another will come'.

I prefer to believe Jesus meant what he said in 'many will come............follow not after them'.
There have been and wiil be many who claim special insight into God and Jesus. eddy is just another one. What are any of their intentions? Delusions of graduere made many say 'follow me'.
